Virginia Our trip to Virginia. July 2001 We stayed at the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond VA. And yes for a very nice hotel they allowed our dogs to stay in the room with us.

White Mountains of New Hampshire 02 Every year we go to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This year we took a summer vacation there. We usually go in the fall to see the foliage. As always we stayed at the Villager Motel.

Every Morning a lovely little bird would sing to us to get up.

This is the first place we stopped on our way to Crawford's Notch State Park New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation

It was a very nice stream for the dogs to cool off in. The temps this week were high 80's to Mid 90's.

We then went to Franconia Notch State Park . We were only able to stop at two places. Dogs are not welcomed in Franconia Notch State Park. We were only able to find two areas. One was at the Basin and the other was along a hiking trail after Old Man of the Mountain the trail went around Echo Lake's far side. I am sure that if we kept on looking that we might have found other trails but signs were very clear in the Park, NO PETS. I could see why in some areas, owners forgot the rule of taking out what you bring in. It is always lovely when they leave it on the trail path also.

Don't they looked thrilled to be leashed and unable to play in the water.

No they are not Muzzles but Haltis. We use them instead of choke collars. There are two different Brands of head collar trainers (Halti and Gentle Leader).

All this to look over a fence at a pool of water we can not even go in.

I am not even going to look at it, if I can not go in.

This was a long walk only to look at some water.

We want to go back to Crawford's Notch and the White Mountain state park. And Oh by the way can we get another cookie at the Bakery. In North Conway Village on Main St you will find a store called Four Your Paws Only , Our dogs say the treats are the best!

We decided to leave Franconia Notch State Park. We headed for Clark's Trading Post. But the Temp was 93, and we decided that we could not leave the dogs in the car. Not even for a quick Bear Show. So we turned around went back through Franconia Notch heading towards Crawford Notch.

We stayed in our AC car calming the dogs down. But other people got out.

We spot a Moose down the embankment on the side of the road.

She was drinking the water and eating the greens.

Every time a car stopped she would look up and check them out.

Cars and people were coming from everywhere. People were pulling over everywhere in all directions.

She decided it was getting a little too crowded.

But before she went she had one last sip.

Gave the people a look.

She started heading towards the woods.

She would take a couple of steps look back and pose.

Mystic Aquarium
Labor day weekend we visited the Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, Connecticut. The day started out overcast but turned into a beautiful sunny day.
